Backyard dye garden, 174 Victor Ave
Long asked for, this event is for folks who have already taken one of my indigo classes, and would like to come back and spend the day indigo dyeing without all the instruction. Come make a mess at my place, not yours!
I will have several indigo vats on the go, of different strengths and types. I will also have all of my shibori tools available for use, as well as unlimited clay resist paste, and all my blocks and stencils to use with the clay paste.
You simply need to bring things to dye! I will also have PFD (prepared for dyeing) linen, cotton, jersey and flannel available for purchase, as well as pre-scoured dyeable napkins and tea towels.
This event will not have a formal instructional segment, but I will very much be available to assist with ideas and execution for shibori, clay resist and dyeing techniques. I am also happy to consult with you via email prior to the class if you would like to bring prepared pieces, such as more complicated stitched shibori, and can also pop some of my favourite shibori thread in the mail to you.
Please only sign up for this class if you have previously taken one of my indigo classes, such as Indigo and Clay Resist, or Indigo and Shibori.

Please note that this class will be held OUTDOORS in the backyard at my home dye studio. Students will have access to the bathroom and kitchen, but we will be spending the entire class outside, (light) rain or shine. In the case of heavy rain or extreme weather, the class will be rescheduled.
*Cancellation Policy - class fees are non-refundable. Cancellations made within 48 hours may be eligible for a credit to be used in our online store or for a future class, pending availability. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours' notice and no shows will result in the forfeiture of the class fee.
