A playful morning experimenting with colour on cloth.
In this class we will explore the centuries old art of marbling, usually practiced on paper, on fabric. Students will make up their own bath for floating the acrylic paints on, create detailed swirling designs and learn how to transfer the patterns to the fabric so that it is permanent and colourfast. An excellent class for beginners to the world of surface design, marbling is very easy and super fun.
All materials and supplies will be provided and each student will marble 12 pieces of cotton fabric.
No experience necessary
Please note that this class will be held OUTDOORS in the backyard at my home dye studio. Students will have access to the bathroom and kitchen, but we will be spending the entire class outside, (light) rain or shine. In the case of heavy rain or extreme weather, the class will be rescheduled.
*Cancellation Policy - class fees are non-refundable. Cancellations made within 48 hours may be eligible for a credit to be used in our online store or for a future class, pending availability.
Cancellations made with less than 48 hours' notice and no shows will result in the forfeiture of the class fee.
