These wood chips can be used at 10-15% wof for a medium depth of shade.

Logwood is not a substantive dye and requires the use of a mordant.  Read more about mordants in our FAQ's, and shop for them here.

Logwood dyeing

The most beautiful, deep purple when I dyed one t-shirt for 2 hours. A second t-shirt added to the dyebath for the 2nd hour is a bit paler, but also a gorgeous purple. A 3rd t-shirt added to the exhaust bath was pale lavender. So happy with this product!

Super easy to use this dye agent. I used 4 tbsp to 3.5 liters of water and the color on my organic bamboo cotton material came put a beautiful purple tone! Thank you so much!
