We're very excited to announce that Julie is partnering with Jen Bulthuis from Fidoodle to lead a week long kids art camp this summer.
With more than a decade of teaching experience at places such as the Workroom in Toronto, Julie is a lover of textiles of all kinds, with experience in natural dyeing, felting, weaving, marbling, and more.
Trained as an educator, Jen is an illustrator, print-maker, toy-dreamer and all around creative star, and has led art workshops of many kinds to children and adults.
And now we're combining our talents and mediums to create a week long art camp with a focus on exploration and play.
In order to both accommodate families and to create a more dynamic art making space, we’d like to offer the projects for multi age groups. This means both weeks will be open to kids from grades 1-6. We’ll be splitting the group sometimes and other times we’ll we mixing ages more intentionally.
We're offering the week long camp twice for two separate weeks in July.
July 9-13th (Monday-Friday 9am-4pm) 2 spots left!
July16-20th (Monday-Friday 9am-4pm) sold out!
Camp will take place at the Fidoodle studio, near Dundas and Brock in the west end of Toronto, a magical and fully equipped space where we will be set up both indoors and outdoors. We’ll also use nearby parks (Dufferin Grove, McCormick park, and Shirley Street playground for breaks and to forage for some materials).
Kids who participate can expect to explore:
Textile dyeing (indigo and other plants)
The one week camp cost is $400 which includes all supplies and materials.
